Jolla Sailfish OS video preview

Do you remeber Jolla ? The company that was formed by ex-Nokia employees ? Well, it held the launch event of the Sailfish OS. Video preview below.

It has a nice looking UI no doubt from that. Promises some good multi-tasking too. As to the apps you'll have no problem as most Android apps will work on it without any extra modifications needed.

The company has already signed with ST-Ericisson for the chipsets that will power their smartphones and 'DNA', a Finnish carrier to distribute them.

Seems promising and I'm a bit looking forward too. Well, lets see what Jolla has to offer us when they launch an actual smartphone.

Samsung testing out buttonless devices, 3GB of RAM on board

Sammy is testing out buttonless devices with 3GB of RAM. Will we see some high-end Samsung smartphones by the end of 2013 ?

Prototype handsets suggest Samsung is testing a phone with no buttons and 3GB of RAM - Will we see 3GB of RAM on Samsung's 2013 high-end smartphones?

As you see in the image above no buttons are present and both are labelled "3Gb RAM". It's actually GigaByte not GigaBit as the source of Phonearena pointed it out. These labels are for internal use only. As you know smartphones with 2GB of RAM are quite a few, for example the LG Optimus G. So Samsung could do the major leap forward and introduce this device. I'll keep you updated with the latest news about this prototype as soon as I'll have more news about it.

Some Acer Iconia tabs will not taste Jellybean officially

Some Acer Iconia tablets will not taste official Jellybean from Acer. These are the A100, A200 and the A500. They are all Tegra 2 based.

Well, there've been some few reports that a Jellybean update was in testing phase but apparently things are not going that well. So these tablets will never get past Android 4.0 from Acer but hey you can still load up a custom ROM of Jellybean ! Certainly this news has created some anger and disappointment towards the owners of this tablet.
