no Android 4.0 for HTC Desire HD

HTC decided that they won't update the Desire HD to Android 4.0. So owners of this smartphone will be stuck on Gingerbread unless you install an unofficial ROM, which we could even see Jellybean on this smartphone !

HTC's statement was: "After extensive testing, we’ve determined that the current version of HTC Sense with Android provides customers with the best experience on the HTC Desire HD. When we consider new versions of software, we weigh a number of factors, but ultimately the customer experience on the product is the deciding factor. We apologize for any confusion this change may have caused our customers."

HTC One S launches in Taiwan, different processor

HTC launched the One S in Taiwan but comes with a different processor than that found in the international version. The Taiwanese version of the One S will come with a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S3 processor instead of the dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 found in the international version but HTC said that it's par with the international version. It is a bit of a disadvantage because it consumes more battery than the S4 processor but it's HTC's decision and I think it's a final one.

1.7GHz dual-core: One, the HTC S-listed price of $ 17,900

HTC Desire C leak

Vodafone Portugal tipped the rumored HTC Desire C, giving a press shot and some specs.

The specs:
- 600 MHz processor
- Android 4.0 ICS
- 3.5" screen with 320x480 resolution
- 3.5G Connectivity, thought to be HSDPA
- 5.0 Mp primary camera
- 4GB of internal storage

It is surprising how this low-end device shall run on Android ICS. Also, from the leaked press shot, we can see that the HTC Desire C shall have HTC Sense UI 4.0. If this device shall hit the stores below €250, it will surely by worth it in buying this device.
