LG Nexus 4 confirmed

As you might saw lately the LG Nexus 4 was a lot rumoured and leaked. Now, LG's Head of Mobile Product Planning has confirmed it and confirmed the specs too. Well, the specs are a 1.5GHz quad-core processor running on Google's stock Android 4.2 Jellybean, 2GB of RAM, 8 or 16GB of internal storage sorry guys no microSD card slot, a 4.7-inch display and has an 8MP back camera. Packs some good specs.

As the LG Head of Mobile Product Planning said too is that it will be announced at Google's Android event on October 29, next Monday. It will launch in India by November 29th tough we don't know when the global launch will happen.

LG Optimus L9 announced

LG extends it's L-Series by the global debut of the Optmius L9 that was announced today. It has a 1GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0 ICS, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 4.7-inch IPS display, a VGA front camera & a 5MP rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, DLNA & several other LG features that include QMemo, QTranslator & My Style Keyboard and a 2,500mAh SiO+ battery. Not a bad smartphone.

LG Optimus G is official ! heading to Korea in a month

The LG Optimus G is now official and will be heading to Korea in a month. Packs really good specs. This smartphone has the new Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro clocked at 1.5GHz that will be running Android 4.0 ICS, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 4.7-inch 720p TrueHD IPS display, a 1.3 MP front camera & a 13MP rear camera that's capable to record full HD videos, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, LTE, NFC, DLNA, MHL & a 2,100mAh battery to power it all. A pretty good phone huh ? This smartphone will be heading to Korea in a month and will be available internationally at a later date.

LG LS860 "Cayenne" spotted again

We saw the LG LS860 "Cayenne" spotted earlier this week but now it's been spotted once with more and better specs.  It now has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor runs on ICS, 1GB of RAM, 4-inch WVGA IPS display, NFC, LTE, a QWERTY physical keyboard and a 1,700mAh battery to power it all.

It's also rumored that it will launch through Sprint's network in Q3. It's not a bad phone maybe it's a small version of the previously leaked LS970.

LG LS860 leaked

The LG LS860 "Cayenne" emerges in a picture. The leaked specs are a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor that runs Android 4.0 ICS, 4-inch WVGA IPS display, features LTE and a QWERTY physical keyboard. We already saw another leaked smartphone from LG.

Sprint LG LS970 leaked and rumored specs

The LG LS970 rumored smartphone is said to have a Snapdragon SoC with a 1.5GHz quad-core Krait processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, 4.67-inch HD display, a 1.3MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera, LTE and a 2,100mAh battery to power it all. The SoC is supposed to outscore every Cortex-A9 based quad-core chipsets. If this is true other companies would face a tough rival.

LG Optimus LTE2 announced packs a 2GB RAM

The LG Optimus LTE2 was announced today. It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box,  it packs 2GB of RAM, 4.5-inch TrueHD IPS 720p display, a front camera probably a VGA camera and an 8MP rear camera capable to capture 1080p videos, supports Adobe Flash, A-GPS, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 2,150mAh battery to power it all. Looks like a good high end smartphone but LG should have put a quad-core processor.

LG rumoured to retire Windows Phone

Windows Phone (2009-) is becoming quite a prominent Mobile OS and can prove as quite a competitor for rivals Android (2008-)  and iOS (2009-).  Android and iOS have been competing head to head in recent months and once Windows Phone gains a larger market share, it will soon be one of them.  LG was one of the first companies to adopt Windows Phone along with HTC and Samsung.  However in recent times, LG has been out-competed in both the Android and the Windows Phone departments by other manufacturers.

In late 2010, Microsoft secured another partnership with Nokia which now use Windows Phone instead of Symbian for their smartphones as described in detail here.  Many other companies such as LG itself, HTC and Samsung produce both Android-powered and Windows Phone-powered smartphones simultaneously.

The main disadvantage of Microsoft's Mobile OS is the limited support; only a few thousand apps (82,000+ apps) from Windows Phone Marketplace run on Windows Phone devices, unlike the flooding Apple App Store (725,000+ apps) and Google Play/Android Market (450,000+ apps).  For example the Skype app on Windows Phone came long after it was released for iOS and Android; this is ironic since both Skype and Windows Phone are owned by Microsoft.

LG smartphones aren't very popular among customers and the disadvantage of Windows Phone mentioned above is a major drawback.  Of course this is just rumoured and LG might not drop Windows Phone after all.

Sprint will have this phone for $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a 2 year contract. This eco-friendly smartphone has an 800MHz single-core processor running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 512MB of RAM, 3.5-inch display, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, NFC, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi. A pretty good budget Android phone.
