HTC One S launches in Taiwan, different processor

HTC launched the One S in Taiwan but comes with a different processor than that found in the international version. The Taiwanese version of the One S will come with a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S3 processor instead of the dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 found in the international version but HTC said that it's par with the international version. It is a bit of a disadvantage because it consumes more battery than the S4 processor but it's HTC's decision and I think it's a final one.

1.7GHz dual-core: One, the HTC S-listed price of $ 17,900
