Sony presents two new smartphones

Sony announces 2 new smartpones for the Xperia line-up, the Xperia acro S and Xperia go.

The Xperia acro S: This is a high end smartphone and quite protected against the nature's elements. It has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and runs on ICS, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 4.3-inch 720p HD Reality display with wet finger tracking technology and it's covered with a scratch resistant and shatter proof glass, a 1.3MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera and records 1080p full HD videos, it has also IP57 certification it means that it's dust proof and up to 30mins under 1m of water, GLONASS GPS, HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC.A pretty good phone huh ?

Xperia go: The Xperia go is his smaller brother but comes with some protection against natural elements. It has a 1GHz dual-core runs on Gingerbread but will receive an ICS update, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 3.5-inch Reality display, 5MP rear camera that records 720p HD videos, comes with IP67 certification that means that it will offer the same protection against water as the Xperia acro and at the difference to the acro s that it's completely dust proof, WiFi and Bluetooth.








Both will be available worldwide as from Q3 this year.

LG LS860 "Cayenne" spotted again


We saw the LG LS860 "Cayenne" spotted earlier this week but now it's been spotted once with more and better specs.  It now has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor runs on ICS, 1GB of RAM, 4-inch WVGA IPS display, NFC, LTE, a QWERTY physical keyboard and a 1,700mAh battery to power it all.



It's also rumored that it will launch through Sprint's network in Q3. It's not a bad phone maybe it's a small version of the previously leaked LS970.

Symbian Carla is not cancelled




Do you remember Symbian Carla ? This update will have a codename, Belle FP1 the update will start to roll out to Nokia PureView and Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701 but the N8 and E7 will not get this update but will get another update called Belle Refresh. 

The Belle FP1 update will bring the following:
  • The processor clock speed will be 1.3GHz.
  • HTML 5 support.
  • Improved browser.
  • Dolby headphone.
  • A new set of widgets.
  • Improved notifications.
  • A new version of Nokia Maps.
  • Multi-tasking view.
  • Microsoft apps.

More PureView phones in the works

As we saw the first PureView smartphone earlier this year and now more PureView phones are coming and this has been confirmed by Nokia's Head of Product Marketing, Vesa Jutila. Vesa said that more such devices are in the works. They will all have high resolution sensors obviously Carl Zeiss's optics and all PureView's wizardry in a slimmer form factor. What do you think ? LG LS860 leaked

The LG LS860 "Cayenne" emerges in a picture. The leaked specs are a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor that runs Android 4.0 ICS, 4-inch WVGA IPS display, features LTE and a QWERTY physical keyboard. We already saw another leaked smartphone from LG.

It has an 800MHz single-core processor that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread customized with TouchWiz, 512MB of RAM, 1.8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB, 3.2-inch display, a 3MP rear shooter, surprisingly a QWERTY physical keyboard, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 1,300mAh battery to power it all.

A PC in the size of a USB drive.

Have you ever imagined a PC the size of USB drive ? It's here ! and packs some good specs for it's size. The MK802 has a 1.5GHz single-core CPU and runs on the latest version of Android, 512MB of RAM, Mali-400 GPU that is also present in the Galaxy SII, WiFi, microSD card slot, microUSB, HDMI port and obviously a full size USB 2.0. It's amazing huh ?



Another company, FXI nicknamed their USB computer 'Cotton Candy' and has some really good specs too. It has a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, a quad-core Mali-400 GPU, 1GB of RAM, microSD card slot, WiFi, HDMI port, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB and a full size USB 2.0. Samsung files for more trademark names

Samsung files for six more trademark names apart from the others made earlier this year. They could be new mid-range or budget smartphones. The six new trademark names are: Galaxy Epic, Galaxy Rivet, Galaxy Lunge, Galaxy Forge, Galaxy Mission, Galaxy Mission and the Galaxy Welid. Or as someone said in Phandroid's comments they could be just carrier names for the SIII. We'll wait and see guys :)

NTT Docomo Samsung Galaxy SIII announced

The Galaxy SIII for NTT Docomo comes with a bit of change in specs. Instead of the Exynos 4 Quad it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8690 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB and it's 9mm thick instead of 8.6mm. All the other specs remain the same. This is a Japanese-only version.

The HTC Desire C is now official, previously rumored as HTC Golf. It has a 600MHz single-core processor and runs... you won't believe it ! It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB but comes with a free 25GB of Dropbox storage, comes with Beats Audio technology, 3.5-inch HVGA LCD display, 5MP rear camera, microUSB, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G, HSPDA, optional NFC and a 1,230mAh battery to power it all. Samsung Galaxy Proclaim out now for the US

Samsung unveiled this entry-level smartphone and will head to Net10, Verizon and StraightTalk networks in the US. This smartphone has a 1GHz single-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card, 3.5-inch HVGA display, 3MP rear shooter and a 1,500mAh battery to power it all. The phone comes with a price tag of $180.

HTC Desire C leak

Vodafone Portugal tipped the rumored HTC Desire C, giving a press shot and some specs.

The specs:
- 600 MHz processor
- Android 4.0 ICS
- 3.5" screen with 320x480 resolution
- 3.5G Connectivity, thought to be HSDPA
- 5.0 Mp primary camera
- 4GB of internal storage

It is surprising how this low-end device shall run on Android ICS. Also, from the leaked press shot, we can see that the HTC Desire C shall have HTC Sense UI 4.0. If this device shall hit the stores below €250, it will surely by worth it in buying this device.

Sprint LG LS970 leaked and rumored specs

The LG LS970 rumored smartphone is said to have a Snapdragon SoC with a 1.5GHz quad-core Krait processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, 4.67-inch HD display, a 1.3MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera, LTE and a 2,100mAh battery to power it all. The SoC is supposed to outscore every Cortex-A9 based quad-core chipsets. If this is true other companies would face a tough rival.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 announced

NVIDIA announced the GeForce GTX 670 today and it will set you back €308.25 ($399). Its base core is clocked at 915MHz while the boost core is clocked at 1019MHz. Its memory speed is 6 GBps. The GTX 690 supports Open GL 4.2. It also supports 3D Vision, 3D Vision Surround, CUDA, DirectX 11, PhysX, SLI, TXAA, Adaptive VSync and GPU Boost. It is capable of producing 4 diosplays. At maximum digital resolution, the resolution is 2560x1600. At maximum VGA resolution, the resolution is 2048x1536. It also comes with full 3D vision: 3D gaming, 3D Blu-Ray and 3D photos and videos.

Samsung Omnia M announced

Samsung today announced the Omnia M. The Omnia M has a 1GHz single-core processor running WP 7.5 Refresh, 384MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, VGA front cmaera and 5MP rear shooter that is capable to record 720p videos, WiFi, 3G. HSPDA, GPS and Bluetooth. This smartphone will roll out in Europe first.

RIM announces the BlackBerry Curve 9320

.RIM announced this mid-range BlackBerry Curve 9320 today. It runs the latest BlackBerry OS 7.1, has a 2.44-inch QVGA display, 3MP rear camera with an LED flash, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage and supports microSD cards, a physical QWERTY keyboard, GPS, A-GPS, 3G, WiFi, HSPA, BBM dedicated button and comes with some social apps pre-installed. I'm eager to know more about the new BlackBerry OS 10 either than this !

Sony GX and SX headed to Japan

The Sony GX: under the hood it packs a 1.5GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0 ice Cream Sandwich, 16GB of internal storage, 4.6-inch HD Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA engine, HDMI FullHD ouput and packs LTE. Previously was also known as Sony LT29i Haybusa.















The Sony SX, this smartphone also packs a 1.5GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 8GB of internal storage, 3.7-inch Reality dispaly, 8MP rear camera and packs LTE.

















The two will come with Walkman app pre-installed, xLOUD, VPT surround sound, clear bass, clear stereo and manual equalizer. These two smartphones will be available in Japan by Summer. I hope that we will see some quad-core smartphones by Sony because up until now it's dual-core mania at Sony right now.

Kyocera Hydro and Rise announced

These two come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed. The Kyocera Hydro has a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of internal storage and comes with a 2GB memory card, IP57 certification which means it can survive under a metre of water for 30 mins with withstand water jets, 3.5-inch HVGA IPS LCD display, a 3.2MP rear camera and a 1,500mAh battery to power it all. 




The Kyocera Rise has almost the same specs the only difference is that the Rise is slightly thicker than the Hydro, weighs more and packs a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Temple Run Game Review

Temple Run, developed by Imangi studios is a game where you are in control of a character, helping him make his way out of the temple while escaping monkey-like creatures.

In the game, you control the character by swiping on the screen or by tilting the device.
To make the character jump, swipe upwards
To make the character duck, swipe downwards
To turn to the right, swipe to the right
To turn to the left, swipe to the left
To make the character keep by the left or right side, just tilt in the desired side

During the escape, one can encounter various power ups such as mega coin, magnet or invisibility. These power ups can be upgraded by spending coins collected during the run. There are 6 characters to choose from, unlockable by spending coins. In store, there are also 3 downloadable wallpapers.

LG Optimus LTE2 announced packs a 2GB RAM

The LG Optimus LTE2 was announced today. It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box,  it packs 2GB of RAM, 4.5-inch TrueHD IPS 720p display, a front camera probably a VGA camera and an 8MP rear camera capable to capture 1080p videos, supports Adobe Flash, A-GPS, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 2,150mAh battery to power it all. Looks like a good high end smartphone but LG should have put a quad-core processor.

Samsung Galaxy SIII specs and features


Yeah here it is the much awaited Samsung Galaxy SIII. Well personally I think this is the real iPhone... Bye bye iPhone and say hello to the Galaxy SIII. It has a 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 quad-core chip, Android ICS pre-installed, 1GB of RAM, will come in 16, 32 and 64GB versions, a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display 1280x780 resolution, HDMI adapter, 1.9MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera, LTE, NFC enabled and a 2,100mAh battery to power it all.


It's as thin as 8.6mm, weighs133g and has a slim bezel. As we previously said it will come in marble white and pebble blue.









As rumours claimed it has a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display 1280x720 screen resolution.




It has an 8MP camera as some rumours claimed. a 1.9MP front camera is present, with it you can capture an HD self video and you can also capture a still photo while recording a video !





This smartphone packs a whole bunch of new features. These new features are: pop-up play this works like this, if you are watching a video ad you want for example search for something on the net you can imply do it and you still watch it in a pop-up. 






S Voice. Just like Siri you can talk and the smartphone responds. Probably this is the closest service to Siri.






Another awesome feature is SmartSay. If you look at the phone the screen will stay up if you don't look at the screen the screen will go on stand by. It tracks you're eyeball movement.
